Victoria Beckham

As you may or may not know I will be undertaking as industrial placement with the wonderful George at Asda in July, so, I decided to showcase some of my personal favourite items from their Spring/Summer 12 collection. First up is this cute black and blue dress, pastels and pleats have been seen all over the catwalk and are set to be a massive trend for the coming season. Next is this really sweet collared sheer blouse, great for work with a vest underneath but also suitable for a night out. The next top with the peter pan collar is AMAZING! I will definitely be popping in to George to check this one out, it's just so pretty and girly! This pink and blue blouse has been featured in Grazia and Look magazine and is bang on trend with it's pastel colours, I also love the detail on the collar with blocks of both colours. The next item I came across was this cute pink lace prom dress, I also found a similar style at Topshop for over double the price of the George one! (Personally I like the George one better!) And finally is this coral scalloped edge dress, which is extremely similar to one designed by Victoria Beckham (which Michelle Williams has also been seen in) and at a bargain price of £16 who can complain! With extremely reasonable prices like the ones at George there is no reason why you can't update your wardrobe with these beauties! :)

Elie Saab Couture

I had to do a post about Elie Saab's Couture Collection because, as expected, it is amazing! The intricate details are beautiful, however, I can't help feeling the designs are quite similar to those of his Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, his key styles and looks are apparent but I feel like his Couture Collection could easily be that little bit more extravagant and elaborate without being too extreme and crazy. The collection is still fantastic, girly glamour at it's best!

Elie Saab RTW Spring/Summer 2012

As you may or may not know my absolute favourite designer is Elie Saab. Here is his Ready To Wear Spring/Summer 2012 collection and it does not dissapoint! Lots of heavy embellishment and intricate detailling are the main feature, which is what he is well known for. I absolutely love the blue suit as a slightly different direction for Saab, it is beautifully cut and the lace over the shoulders is a really nice design detail.

Happy New Year! At last there are beautiful new clothes in the shops! Roll on the summer, I'm sick of dark mornings and the cold! A key trend I have noticed when looking at new season clothes is oriental floral patterns on garments such as dresses, jackets and shorts. Floral is usually a major trend over summer but here are some really cute pieces that I have found!

Sparkly Sequins

As the festive season approaches I have decided to find my favourite sparkly items as this screams Christmas and parties!! Here I have chosen 3 of my favourite sequinned dresses and shoes...
First up is this dress from Lipsy, normally I don't like Lipsy clothing as I think the majority of it it quite slutty but I really like this dress, the detailing with the sequins gives it something extra and makes it look a lot more expensive, I would expect this at £120, unfortunately a lot of people must agree with me as this dress is already sold out!!

Next is this little red number from Rare, which is sold on Asos and Topshop for £75, I think this dress is just really cute, with the little bow and if it was a little bit longer would probably have been my 21st dress!!

This stunning dress is from Rare Opulence at Topshop, it's very expensive at £175 but I think the details with the chiffon and the train are just beautiful!! It's really something different and when you think about what you would pay for a designer dress, £175 doesn't seem so bad!

On to the shoes, Schuh have these super high glitter heels that also come in black, these are just wow statement shoes that aren't for the faint hearted! Priced at £65, they aren't bad for a pair of shoes but if you are just going to wear them for the Christmas season, similar pairs can be found in cheaper places like Primark and New Look.

These black shoe boots are from Love Label at Very and are a bargain at 36! A little bit more wearable than towering high heels, you might actually last all night in these beauties!
Finally, the most expensive pair of shoes at £80 are these gorgeous gold glittery heels from Aldo. Sequins and glitter can sometimes look a little tacky but the little ankle strap and bow helps to tone them down, so cute!

Versace for H&M

I was a bit scared looking at the new Versace collection for H&M, a lot of the pieces are extremely loud with enormous fluorescent patterns on them: this is not a collection for the faint hearted, the last image of the horrid pink fridged set is probably the worst thing I have ever seen :S. As I look at more pictures of the collection I am pleasantly surprised as there are a selection of pieces that are much more classic and wearable in my opinion. My favourite piece has to be the little black dress, I'm actually gutted this collection doesn't come out till the 17th November as I need this dress for my birthday on Saturday as it is pretty much what I have been looking for! gutted :(. The lilac dress is also really cute but I can't help feeling it's an odd colour for an A/W collection. The same goes for the neon pink dress below it, the detailing on the dress is amazing but I can see it being worn at a summer wedding not at a Christmas party. The studded black skirt is great, just the right amount of detailing to make it unique without being over the top. Again, the black corset is AMAZING, I absolutely love the structure in it and the little bit of colour just add something a little extra.

Alexander McQueen

Just having a look at the new Alexander McQueen collection for Spring/Summer 2012 and I really like it! Sarah Burton still keeps that kooky, innovative vibe with the face coverings and the intricate detailing on the garments but quite a few of the evening dresses could be worn to an event without looking too gaga. I really admire the way her designs always look like something new and something  I've not seen before.
